Stacey McNeely graduated in 2001 with an RN degree in addition to a B.S. in Marketing/Management from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Registered Nurse Stacey McNeely spent over a decade treating patients in acute-care hospitals in Minneapolis. Her clinical background is extensive. Mainly Cardiac, Spinal/Orthopedic, PACU and ER Observation Unit. She was appointed on special task forces and focus groups within Abbott Northwestern to Preceptor new nurses and implement new initiatives based on data collected, analysis and implementation. 7 day post hospital discharge was primary focus to bridge gap in care, ensure compliance and necessary follow-up. Her team collected data, identified holes in continuum of care that successfully improved patient outcomes after discharge and diminished hospital re-admits within a 30 day period, She was recognized several times by the CEO in monthly newsletters for her excellence in care and superior leadership. In addition to Abbott Northwestern, Stacey worked for the University of Minnesota Physicians Heart Clinic in Edina, Minnesota. She was certified in programming medical devices; Pacemakers & ICDs for Medtronic, Boston Scientific and St. Jude.
Stacey was hired in the corporate office of The Goodman Group in Chaska, Minnesota in 2013. This privately owned company provides senior living and health care services and programs across the country. She joined The Goodman Group as National Director of Transitional Care Coordination and was responsible for developing a new business entity from the ground up. The vision originated as an RN patient advocacy entity and transformed to ABLE CARE CONNECT, LLC (which provided a Medicare billable service for discharged patients in acute care). She hired Nurse Practitioners to provide billable services newly identified available through Medicare TCM codes. Tampa, Florida was where it was first launched. Stacey McNeely developed a business plan, helped create website, write content narrative, approve final logo and created a marketing niche, & materials to partner with local hospitals. She reached her established profit projection within a year, and created two business entities: Dreamcatcher (a 501C3 nonprofit that awarded scholarships to retired military members and their caretakers) She was a large part of fundraising, web design, web narrative writing and executive team who chose recipients of scholarships. She worked closely with industry consultants and was part of the task force team within The Goodman Group to research profitability and analyzed probable success potential in Medicare Bundling for our current business model.
A dog lover herself, she has carried on her fathers legacy of gifting service dogs through Can-Do-Canines, to children and adults in need. She and her children have held fundraisers and 5K events each year since her fathers death in 2012. They have raised thousands of dollars toward the expense of the 2 year training program. In addition, she is an active volunteer and fundraiser for Underdog Rescue of Mn. She has adopted a rescue dog herself and been a foster for puppies that come from the puppy mill and commercial breeding industry that live in horrific conditions.
